Hollywood voice teacher, Tricia Kelly was trained personally by Jeannie Deva and taught for years at the Boston studio. Now, located in Hollywood, California, she is accessible to residents of the greater Los Angeles area. Here is a brief biography of our certified Senior Deva Method voice teacher in Hollywood, Tricia Kelly.
Biography
A talented vocalist with many years experience performing popular music in a variety of bands and musical theater productions, nominated for LA’s prestigious Ovation Award 2007 for her work as Brenda Lee, Petula Clark and Janis Joplin in BEEHIVE.
Tricia has sung with Legend, Bill Medley (Righteous Brothers, “Dirty Dancin’”) on his recent tour in Southern California; has opened for KC & The Sunshine Band at the Cape Cod Melody Tent in Massachusetts and a contestant on Fox’s Don’t Forget The Lyrics in the Fall of ‘07.
Tricia joined our faculty in 1993. She began singing at age eight and studied voice and vocal harmony formally with Mary Saunders at Boston Conservatory and Jeannie Deva in our Boston studio. Tricia has recently released a CD of original Disco/R&B/Dance music, performs regularly in Southern California.
Some of her students past & present include Kiernan Shipka (Mad Men), world-class keyboardist, Steve Weingart (Steve Lukather, Marco Mendoza), front-man/actor, Joe Hursley (The Ringers).
Coaching
Tricia offers a personalized approach along with proper technique individual to each student, working on what the student needs most to accomplish their goals, whether working on strength & stamina, pitch, performance & repertoire, audition prep and much more!
